Work Overview
This is a portrait of Topology, with all of the melodies being derived from the speech of the players in conversation. As the ensemble members talk, their speech melodies are doubled by their own playing; as they discuss a specific member, that member performs a solo.

The performance requires performers to listen to a click track with earphones (bone conduction earphones are recommended). The left channel of the video contains the click track (heard only by performers). The right channel is heard through front of house speakers and is heard by the audience along with the instruments.
