Product details
Rita's impeccable connections with Chopin commenced very early in Rita's life when she had the opportunity to study with Mieczyslaw Horszowski whose mother had been a student of Chopin, Karol Mikuli. Her other connection with Chopin was through another teacher Jorge Bolet, whose teacher Rosenthal was also a Mikuli student. This heritage helps to give her playing and interpretation an uncommon integrity and authority.
Chopin has always been something of a paradox. As one of the great composers he, unlike many of the others, is singular in writing almost exclusively for one medium - the piano, and here Rita Reichman's gives stunning performances of Chopin's master works.
