Summary: 'Daisy Bates': In 1913 Daisy Bates went to live in the South Australian desert, staying nearly thirty years. This work explores her death, expressing both the passing of what she represented, and the sorrow over the impact of white culture on Aboriginal culture.

An unblinking look at the anthropologist, activist, botanist and eccentric Olive Pink, based on her increasingly disheartened letters to her doctoral professor at Sydney University. Performers: Dinah Shearing and Martin Vaughan. Music for string quartet and distressed piano composed and arranged by Hollis Taylor. Musicians: Hollis Taylor (violin, viola, violoncello, piano), Jon Rose (violin, tenor violin, piano) and Clayton Thomas (bass). Produced by Hollis Taylor and Jane Ulman.
