Sheet Music: ScoreSaxophone quartet No. 1 / Stephen Benfallby Stephen Benfall (1988)
|
Product details
This work is of advanced difficulty and tests the technique and musical flexibility of the performers. It is in three movements and has a wide range of moods and nuances. The Quartet could be considered a "crossover" work - while it contains aspects of jazz, minimalist, modernist, and avant garde styles, it is in fact none of these things in total, but rather a musical discourse that unfolds with it's own musical impetus and sense of logic.
