Sheet Music: ScoreQuadrivium 1 : for two percussionists / Drew Crawford.by Drew Crawford (1997)
|
Product details
Quadrivium 1 was written for - and premiered at - an art gallery opening, and as such, the visual drama of percussion music forms a conceptual basis for much of the work, whether that's a rapid beating on the marimba that's barely audible, or the circular nature of the percussion set-up (the audience surrounded the musicians at the first performance). And as the opening was for an exhibition of glass art, I wanted to create a sonic equivalent of the works on display - some delicate & detailed, others heavy and solid, all exploring the plasticity and potential of the medium.
