This compilation features tracks from five recent Monash Sessions recordings produced between 2016-2019 by the Jazz Team at Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University. Featuring the unique, innovative, and celebrated jazz musicians and composers Linda May Han Oh (AUS), Ralph Alessi (USA), Judy Bailey (AUS), Sandy Evans (AUS), Ben Monder (USA), Andrea Keller (AUS), alongside jazz students from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. These recordings enabled students the privilege and rare opportunity to rehearse, perform and record the compositions alongside the composers. This unique student experience is a key pedagogical approach within the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, with established artists mentoring the emerging generation of jazz musicians.
