Sheet Music: Performance PartsFlying Foxes : for string quartet, from 'The Wetlands Suite' / Cathy Applegate.by Cathy Applegate (2018)
|
Product details
In this work, I try to capture the character of Australia's flying foxes. It can be preceded by a read poem (written by Cathy Applegate) which sets the mood and helps interpret the music, which is programmatic. The lively music is interrupted by a slower, sleepy section when the bats are asleep, before taking off again with a whirl of playful cheekiness.
