Product details

The work was written in grief for a friend suffering through terminal cancer. As such I wanted to write gestures that expressed my feelings, but also explore the literalism of emotion setting tempo through heartbeat. This work uses the live heartrates of two of the performing musicians as a clicktrack to set tempo.

Published by: Australian Music Centre — 1 facsimile score (26p. -- A4 (portrait))

Difficulty: Advanced — the tempo fluctuates based on the live heartrate of the performers, and the middle section has 2 dynamic tempi at once

Duration: 7 min.

Commissioned by Australia Piano Quartet.

First performance by Australia Piano Quartet — 5 Nov 15. University of Technology, Sydney

Includes performance directions.

Typeset edition.
