Between Two Rivers: A Cycle of Three Works for chamber ensemble was conceived out of my long standing engagement with the religious literature of ancient Mesopotamia. The first work of this cycle is Canto di Enheduanna for flute, piano and cello, inspired by the life and work of Enheduanna, daughter of King Sargon I of Akkad.
