Product details
The words are taken from the many poems of the English poet and composer/songwriter Ivor Gurney (1890-1937). Gurney suffered from schizophrenia and spent the latter part of his life in a mental asylum. The poems chosen (particularly 'To God') reflect Gurney's mental instability, frustration, anger and a pathetic sense of hopelessness.
