August Offensive is a fast and powerful short work for orchestra. It was commissioned as the penultimate movement in the Gallipoli Symphony project funded by the Australian Government's Veteran Affairs Department. The overall project includes movements composed by selected Australian, Turkish and New Zealand composers in commemoration of the World War One events at Gallipoli in 1915.
August Offensive exists in versions for a small-size orchestra and for large orchestra.

This is the version for larger orchestra of August Offensive, opus 92. This version was rescored in early 2015 for the Gallipoli Symphony performances in Istanbul in August 2015. Apart from using a larger orchestra the work is the same as the smaller orchestral version.
