Summary: A portrait of the passionate and legendary radio artist Arsenije Jovanovic, who relocated from Belgrade to his 'summer house' in the medieval town of Rovinj, on the Adriatic coast of Istria in Croatia, in the early 1990s. He was moving against the tide of separating populations during the wars erupting in the breakup of former Yugoslavia. This 'spiritual exile' has an artist’s desire to live and create against the odds. Over this time, ABC producer Robyn Ravlich has struck up a friendship with the veteran artist around their shared interest in radio art and Balkan cultures. In the European summer of 2003, she was a guest in Arsenije's famous house, a creative work in progress that rises up to his Adriatic Sound Factory, and down into a cellar under construction.
