Sheet Music: Score & Part(s)And the angel Gabriel said... : brass ensemble / Andrew Batterham.by Andrew Batterham (2010)

Product details
This work is not intended as a religious piece of music, but as a depiction of the appearance of the angel Gabriel to the prophet Daniel in the Bible. Brass instruments are especially suited to bringing Daniel's vision to life, as angels are often described as using trumpets to herald significant events.
And The Angel Gabriel Said… consists of two halves. The first depicts the mundane machinations of the human world as viewed from above. The second half, beginning at bar 262, describes the coming of the angel Gabriel to Daniel. This vision should be an extreme sonic event; from bars 287 to 298 the acoustic heavens should literally open. The four trumpet players move to other parts of the room so that the sound of Gabriel's appearance comes from all quarters.
