'Between Light' draws together leading Australian jazz artists in the creation of new works for Zephyr Quartet, exploring notions of light and dark in their work and taking the Italian art term chiaroscuro as a genesis. Working together with the esteemed designer Geoff Cobham, a series of unique performance spaces will be created to ‘house' each of these newly commissioned pieces at the remarkable and historic Queen's Theatre through which an intimate audience will move with the quartet.
'Between Light' is a holistic, immersive performance experience for audiences that will visually as well as sonically explore the chiaroscuro of art and life.
World premiere performances of music by Andrea Keller (VIC), Tony Gould (VIC), Stephen Magnusson (VIC), Matt Keegan (NSW) and Lyndon Gray (SA).
