Event Details
Visual Music is an audiovisual concert presented by the School of Creative Arts and the Creative Industries Research and Innovation Cluster (CIRIC). Meet Newcastle’s visual art and music fraternity at this free, interactive concert event staged at the University of Newcastle’s Conservatorium of Music Concert Hall.
This concert will include performances by:
Sally Mays - internationally renowned Australian pianist
Rhiannon Newton - solo dance work
Ray Alldridge - jazz piano
Voices of Echology - with soloists Bernadette Matthias, Heather Keens, Chris Allan and Ben Lambert
Creative Arts Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra - conducted by Philip Matthias
Visual Projections - by Tim Buchanan, Dale Collier and Gavin Beck
The Newcastle Conservatorium Brass Quintet
Young Conservatorium Strings - Conducted by Chris Bearman with young singers Alex Cosat, Isabella Tonks and Lois Ferguson
Along with staff and students from the School of Creative Arts performing music by Frank Millward in an atmosphere of fun, networking and interactivity.
