Event Details

Of Magic and Madness is the finale of the first season of the new Verbrugghen Ensemble. This performance will feature the entire ensemble performing a striking new work by Con composer Matthew Hindson: This Year’s Apocalypse, followed by the gorgeous and lyrical Sextuor Mystique by Hector Villa Lobos.

The final work of the year will celebrate the life of beloved contemporary English composer Peter Maxwell Davies with his epic chamber work Eight Songs for a Mad King featuring singer Simon Lobelson and directed by Kate Gaul.
