Multi-award-winning saxophonist and former Young Australian Artist of the Year, Amy Dickson has a string of national and international credits to her name. Hear her weave her special magic in Full Moon Dances, a concerto specially written for her by Ross Edwards. Who better to conduct this important new work than Baldur Brönnimann, an internationally renowned maestro with a passion for contemporary music. Maestro Brönnimann also conducts symphonies by two of music’s great wits, Haydn and Shostakovich, and Ligeti’s lively, folk-music inspired Concert Românesc.
*Full Moon Dances – Saxophone Concerto commissioned for Amy Dickson and the Australian state symphony orchestras by Andrew Kaldor and Renata Kaldor AO with the support of Symphony Services International.
