DEBUSSY Printemps
WESTLAKE Antarctica Suite
KODÁLY Dances of Galanta

Debussy once described Printemps (Spring) as an expression of the ‘gradual blossoming’ of things born in nature, while Kodály’s Dances of Galanta draws from the folk music of the region of Eastern Europe in which he once lived. Between these works savour Nigel Westlake’s Toward Takayna, written expressly for Slava and Leonard Grigoryan and inspired by the breathtaking rainforests of our island. Listen to textures and melodies prompted by the natural world of Takayna/Tarkine.

This concert will be live-streamed for subscribers.

Featured non-Australian music: Debussy, Kodaly
