The Australian premiere of Traversing the Void - a pocket chamber opera written by Icelandic composer Hildigunnur Runarsdottir with librettist Josephine Truman (45 mins) with themes about the Blue Mountains as perceived through the eyes of a wild cockatoo. Special support The Marais Project also playing arrangements of Swedish and Australian folk songs and the premiere of two new works Hraun and Woolloomooloo by Hildigunnur Runarsdottir and Rebecca Daniel's Blue Mts Suite.
This concert is supported by The Blue Mts City of the Arts Trust Fund,the Australia Council of the Arts,STEF (Iceland) and Tomanelli inc.
