Realised by composer-violinist Erkki Veltheim, Tract is an inspired collaboration between the members of the Young Wagilak Group from South East Arnhem Land, the Australian Art Orchestra and performed for the very first time in Melbourne with the Musicians of the Academy. Tract was composed by Erkki Veltheim for the 2010 Adelaide Festival. Also included in the program is the world premiere of Smoke by Paul Grabowsky, commissioned by ANAM; and you’ll hear the trumpet mastery of Scott Tinkler in John Rodgers’s Glass.
