Synergy Percussion perform Michael Gordon's TIMBER under the artistic direction of Western Australian percussion artist Louise Devenish. The work will be set in the round and performed in the unique venue of the sound stage recording room at Trackdown Studios in Moore Park. TIMBER features six percussionists performing on locally sourced wood, cut to specific lenghts for pitch and resonance.
Performers: Louise Devenish, Joshua Hill, Bree van Reyk, Daryl Pratt, Jess Ciampa and Kerryn Joyce.
Please note: TIMBER will be presented as a standing concert where the audience is free to quietly move around and listen to the work from different positions in the room. Limited seating will be available for people who would prefer a seated listening position. Performance time is aproximately 60min.
This work is supported by funding from Create NSW and the Permsew Foundation.
