The Rafael Jerjen Concept: part of the Capital Jazz Project. This is a night to celebrate and experience the music genius of Hank Mobley in a new light. Witness the re-imaginings of the music of jazz legend Hank Mobley's hard bop album Soul Station by rising young bassist Rafael Jerjen. With a mix of old school funk, swing, hip hop, gospel and bossa nova influences Jerjen reinterprets and elaborates on Mobley's music. Rafael Jerjen - Bass, John Mackey - Alto Saxophone, Niels Rosendahl - Tenor Saxaphone, Miroslav Bukovsky - Trumpet, Paul Dal Broi - Piano and Mark Sutton - Drums. Box Office opens 5pm.
