Event Details
“Queen of the Night” - Martha Marlow ft. Chris Abrahams | Steve Hunter This intimate concert presented by SIMA will transport you to an innermost place of serenity and reflection. An opening solo set from legendary electric bass virtuoso Steve Hunter will realign your perceptions of jazz, and open your mind to the new world of improvised music. Then, spellbinding vocalist Martha Marlow and luminary pianist Chris Abrahams presents a preview to her upcoming album, ‘Queen of the Night’. Named after the elusive and hauntingly exquisite flower that only blooms for one night a year, this mesmerizing album performance can only be heard at the Sydney Opera House, exclusively for SIMA. SIMA would like to thank Create NSW for their generous funding towards the Jazz: NOW Winter program.
