Event Details
Premiered in the second ever concert at Snape 50 years ago, The Golden Vanity is a morality tale of the outsider against the crowd and bears more than a passing allusion to Billy Budd. This Aldeburgh Festival event also features a new work by the UK-based Australian composer Luke Styles (Snape Maltings commission). The new work is a set of 12 songs for young people (7-18 years) as part of a Snape Maltings project that has been going since 2013 and builds on Britten Friday Afternoons songs.
