This program explores works by composers for whom the influence of their country, environment, nationality and or specific cultural musical traditions is particularly significant.
Ross Edwards describes composing his Piano Trio with the Arafura Sea in mind, and as in many of his works, he makes use of his 'maninya' form, while Gaspar Cassado's piano trio has a distinct Spanish flavour.
