Event Details
Australia's premiere taiko drumming group TaikOz, most eclectic new music ensemble Topology, and virtuosic percussion duo Karak join forces in this energetic performance. TaikOz, Topology and Karak share the desire to both push boundaries and enthral audiences. They all write and perform their own music as well as that of other composers, and are adept at improvisation and working in a variety of locations.
Sound on Sound features new works composed by members of each ensemble as well as a world premiere by renowned WA composer David Pye.
Combining the dramatic theatricality of TaikOz, the ethereal tones of Riley Lee’s bamboo shakuhachi, the colour and energy of Topology’s piano, bass, saxophone, violin and viola, and Karak’s percussive brilliance, Sound on Sound is a performance not to be missed!
