Event Details
'Celebrations' is a festival of choral music, launching the SCM's new choral programs and exploring the rich possibilities of the human voice. The first half, 'Celebrating Nature', begins with music for choir which explores the natural world and has a strong emphasis on music by Australian composers and composing women. The second half contributes to the continuing festivities marking Leonard Bernstein's centenary with his glorious Chichester Psalms for chorus and orchestra as well as excerpts from Candide featuring Conservatorium vocal students with the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra.
