Presented as part of Tura New Music’s 2014 Scale Variable Series, Canadian composer/guitarist extraordinaire Tim Brady joins forces with three of North America’s most virtuosic and adventurous new music exponents in Lori Freedman (clarinet and bass clarinet), Pemi Paull (viola) and Tom Buckner (voice), for their only Perth concert. They will perform a rich program of works from Cage’s enigmatic Four through to world premieres of Brady’s Road Songs and Australian composer Eric Griswold’s Mindax Redcats onto unique group improvisations.
