Event Details
With a sublime slow movement bookended by lively outer movements it's easy to understand why everyone loves Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.
In this concert it will be brought to life by our very own Section Principal Clarinet Irit Silver.
We’ll also play Australian composer Melody Eötvös’ stunning composition The Saqqara Bird, an ear-catching musical tribute to a unique little wooden bird discovered in an Egyptian archaeological dig in 1898. Finally, Johannes Fritzsch conducts Martinů’s energetic and life-affirming First Symphony.
