One of the pre-eminent cellists in the world, Daniel Müller-Schott joins the Phoenix Symphony and the return of Michael Christie as Music Director Laureate for Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme. Müller- Schott ‘s technical brilliance will light up the stage for this beautiful and challenging performance.
The program includes the world premiere of a new commission from Matthew Hindson, The Returned Soldier (Symphony No. 3) and Ottorino Respighi’s Feste romane or Roman Festivals in the composer’s third and final musical tribute to the glory of Rome.
