Event Details
The renowned clarinettist and saxophone player Paul Cutlan has joined forces with five of Australia’s finest improvising string players for two rare performances of his acclaimed music suite Across the Top, at Springwood and Paddington. The Paul Cutlan String Project will play, in addition to Across the Top, new material featuring special guest Gary Daley on piano.
Joining Paul’s clarinet and saxophone are Brett Hirst (bass), Oliver Miller (cello) Veronique Serret (violin), Liisa Pallandi (violin), and Inge Courtney-Haentjes (viola). Brett, one of Australia’s leading jazz musicians has played with Mike Nock, Sandy Evans, Katie Noonan, Lior, and many great ensembles. Veronique and Liisa have played with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Oliver with the NOISE and the Brandenburg Orchestra, to name just a few of the band members’ credits.
