Event Details
This service was developed at Kings College, Cambridge, UK in 1918, but it is based on an earlier medieval Christmas celebration. Through the use of music, readings, movement and light the story of Christmas is retold. Music this year includes the world premiere of "'Benedicamus celestis", specially comissioned for the choir by Phillip Jones and composed by Joseph Twist, along with works by Matthias, Gabrieli, Cleobury, Chilcott and Sculthorpe.
