‘Romeo and Juliet’ (May 28th) will see the quartet showcase the influence of Shakespeare’s masterful play on the great composers. The famous story has long been the impetus for superb musical creations. This concert will present transcriptions of well known works by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Bernstein alongside a new suite written especially for Nexas by Australian composer Matthew Hindson. See how one of literature’s most famed works can lead to such wondrous musical outcomes.
