Event Details

This project commenced in 2019 with a call for compositions. twice dleayed by you know what, 12 compositions were selected for performance. Detailed suggestions were offered composers before rehearsal commencing. Composers were invited to visit a rehearsal or call in via video conferencing to chat about their composition and also give performers an opportunity to ask questions. A free Pre-concert Talk "Meet The Composers" is an opportunity for the composers to network and for young composers to understand better the process for composing for wind bands. The concert features 12 original works by Australian composers from Melbourne, Regional Victoria, NSW, WA and Tasmania.
