Event Details
Perth-based percussionist Thea Rossen is a unique communicator, her performances imbued with a vivid sense of fearlessness and intense energy. The swirling hypnosis of Luther-Adams and Skipworth’s music bookends award-winning American composer Ashley Fure’s exploration of inner organisms in her scurrying trio Therefore I Was. Also featured is a new work by Jodie Rottle that encapsulates sounds of the everyday. In her first ever appearance in Brisbane as a soloist, Rossen promises to enchant with her unique capacity for storytelling through music.
Performers: Thea Rossen (percussion), Dario Scalabrini (clarinet), Alex Raineri (piano)
Featured non-Australian music: John Luther-Adams 'Red Arc / Blue Veil', Ashley Fure 'Therefore I Was'
