Under the baton of Melbourne-born Nicholas Carter, Iain Grandage’s Overt, composed for the Australian Youth Orchestra, will give each instrument a moment to shine.
Mahler and Wagner lived in an era when music was all about grand emotions, big sounds, and pushing boundaries. Witness Australia’s best young musicians on a rollercoaster of emotional intensity: from Wagner’s transcendent Prelude und Liebestod, to Mahler’s monumental Symphony No.5.
