Following this compelling premiere will be a spirited performance of Haydn’s beloved Cello Concerto No. 1, featuring DSO’s very own Jonathan Tooby on cello. Jean Sibelius’s “confession of the soul”, his deeply moving Symphony No. 2, concludes an evening of exquisite music that is also a testament to humanity and hope.
