SIMA presents the Jazz:NOW Summer Festival featuring; Double Bill: The Emma Stephenson Quartet + Yutaro Okuda Quartet

Throwing yourself into the deep has a unique effect on creativity and innovation.

Emma Stephenson has been recognized as a pianist and composer of exceptional ability. Her time abroad saw her play and connect with musicians across the piano bar circuit of New York.

In this performance, with a new band that blends modern jazz and contemporary pop, Emma hits the SIMA stage for the first time since returning to Australia.

Japan and Australia-inspired guitarist Yutaro Okuda’s fusion of traditional and contemporary music. Premiering a new suite of compositions, expect high-intensity improvisation, angular contours and shifting harmonic colours.

Don’t miss two creative forces in concert at Foundry 616!
