Event Details
Award-winning contemporary music group Syzygy Ensemble invites you to reflect on an age of political and environmental turmoil – and dare to hope.
Inspired by the poetry of Yeats, Irish composer Greg Cafferey conjures serene, bucolic landscapes reminding us of the precious greenery of the natural world. This atmosphere of hope is equally visible in the sublime intimacy of Caerwen Martin’s The Beauty of Now. Combined with John Psathas’s exuberant Island Songs and Ka Nin Chan’s monumental work Our Finest Hour, these soaring works are a vibrant source of inspiration.
Syzygy Ensemble is one of the finest new music ensembles in Australia, lauded for its virtuoso precision, innovative programming and the ability to connect viscerally with audiences.
