Event Details
This programme spans several centuries, periods of music and the two hemispheres of the globe and the human brain! Two of the works are by Australian women composers. Tasmanian Karlin Greenstreet Love’s delightfully qwirky Ambidexterity Suite receives its Australian Premiere in these concerts. Alicia Grant’s composition The Maze is a musical labyrinthine adventure which suggests that life's path is like a maze. The familiar and evocative Oblivion from Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla provides a contrast to the Australian and German works, Mozart’s delightful and beautifully crafted Kegelstatt Trio and the lusciously romantic Eight Pieces by Bruch, four of which are presented in this programme.
Featured non-Australian music: Max Bruch Eight Pieces opus 83 and Mozart Kegelstatt Trio
