SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S JAZZ FESTIVAL PRESENTS Brass on the Grass
SIMA invites you and your loved ones to a lively afternoon of music and entertainment at Ruby’s, featuring entertainment from New Orleans-influenced outfit Queen Porter Stomp and the feel-good 343 Brass Band! This mini-festival is suitable for music lovers of all ages, so bring your family out into the summer sun for an afternoon picnic. Groove to some brass on the grass as Zetland comes alive with the up-beat horns of two jiving bands.
343 Brass Band features a line-up of Sydney’s most spectacular and inspiring young horn players and drummers. Versed in a range of musical genres, 343 Brass Band will have you singing and dancing along with their energetic jazz, pop, RnB, and gospel repertoire.
Queen Porter Stomp formulate New Orleans groove with jazz and folk sprinkled in. With their playful mix of brass, banjo, ukulele, vocals, drums, and bass, Queen Porter Stomp are guaranteed to have you grooving to every beat of their music.
This mini-festival/outdoor picnic is a BYO event, with additional wine and cocktails provided by 107 Projects.
