Event Details

Ensemble Liaison & Friends is a unique concert series presented by three internationally acclaimed musicians — David Griffiths (clarinet), Svetlana Bogosavljevic (cello) and Timothy Young (piano).

The ensemble is renowned for imaginative programming, setting the trend for brilliant collaborations with leading artists.

With its unbridled passion, Bohemian Bedřich Smetana’s rhapsodic piano trio is one of the most powerful works in the literature and a milestone of Romanticism. Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue continues to delight audiences with its inimitable crossover from the improvised world of jazz to the classical concert hall. The program also includes some fantastic ‘rags’ by John Novacek and Elena Kats-Chernin, and an exciting new commission by Australian composer Michael Dooley.
