Event Details

Bach in the Dark is a series of unconventional classical music concerts featuring 'cellist Rachel Scott and a changing roster of guest artists.

Bach in the Dark is back in Bundanoon!

For the third program in the 2018 series, Rachel is joined by  former teacher and dear friend (and cello great!), David Pereira. If you’ve been a concert with David and Rachel before you’ll know that you’re in for a night of great musical conversation! A critic said that Rachel and David’s playing “has the feel of a celebration, of untempered, free and loose-limbed music-making, where lines are shaped by boldness…”

The program will include works by J.S. Bach, re-imagining of Bach by David Pereira and some musical surprises!

Looking for somewhere to eat afterwards? The beautiful Bundanoon Guest House will again provide a main course and a glass of wine for $30 (there will be a choice of two main courses). Seating will be limited based on last year and booking must be made direct to the Guest House (quoting that you are a Bach in the Dark patron). The dinner will be immediately after the concert, at 6.30. Telephone (02) 4883-6372 to book.

All profits raised from the night  will go to the local Classical Music Club Student Grants (for aspiring young musicians).

Featured non-Australian music: Bach, Barriere, Kummer, Purcell
