Event Details
In the lead up to the 100th Anniversary of 'Gallipoli', the Australian & Asian Orchestra is proud to present a special gala concert paying tribute to the ANZACS as well as showcasing much loved classical works from both the West (Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture) and East China (Zhang Nan's Chinese Red River Tone Poem Violin Concerto as well as several Chinese folk songs performed with Sydney based Erhu virtuoso Ying Liu).
This concert will be a truly unique 'one-off' musical event, containing the world premieres of two Australian compositions, A Song for Gallipoli by prominent Melbourne composer George Dreyfus and the intense Symphony to an ANZAC by Robert Dora.
Featured non-Australian music: Tchaikovsky, Nan
