Program note: The Humble-Bee Rebecca Harrison

Rebecca Harrison (b. 1986) is currently working towards an Honours degree
in composition at the University of Adelaide's Elder Conservatorium. Although
her early musical interests began with the piano, she soon branched out to violin
and clarinet, both of which she currently teaches. Her interest in composing
began while a Special lnterest Music student at Brighton Secondary School and
has grown ever since. During the course of her studies, Rebecca has received
various composition prizes and scholarships. This year she was selected to
participate in the composition program at National Music Camp, for which she
composed Las Folias, a set of variations on the ubiquitous La Folia theme.
