Teresa Wojcik : Associate Artist

Teresa said of her music: 'I create minimalist-influenced tonal music that makes sense of the shadows, shapes and sensations, so that listeners feel a sense of connection and recognition, drawn into worlds of wonder, catharsis, or reprieve.'

When she was young, Teresa found it difficult to put overwhelming and intense feelings into words. One day, as a young teenager she sat down at the piano and wrote a piece that expressed everything she had been struggling to say. The fog lifted, the weight dropped away and she felt relieved in a way that she had never experienced before.

This started an intense relationship with music, continuing through a degree in Music, over to Europe for several years, before landing in Australia mid-2018.

With a voracious appetite for sound, Teresa inhaled everything she came across with her ears, fingers and voice. With years of multiple instrument disciplines, live and digital orchestration training and experience behind her, she offers emotive, innovative, and intuitive music for solo instruments, ensembles, strings, voice and full orchestra.

'More than simply creating music, Teresa was able to use her extensive knowledge, experience and emotional intelligence to create a score that deeply moved and eloquently translated a vision I had worked on for years, perfectly, into sound form.'
