George (Georgina) Williams is a composer, song writer, sound producer, arranger, collaborator, educator, writer and performer.

As a composer she has worked with regional community and school choirs, The Boite, Creative Workers in Schools program (RAV), for stage (Picture Her, Photo Biennale, Foostcray Community Arts Centre), exhibitions (Women's Work, Backspace, Art Gallery Ballarat) and dance (Melbourne International Film Festival).

With her partner, Geoffrey Williams, she co-founded the Virtual Soul Choir in response to the isolating effects of lockdowns involving over 400 singers globally with over 60 000 views.

George's work also encompasses mapping music history through spaces and places extant and lost for UNESCO and authoring the 2020 book Ballarat Memorial Concert Band: a century of music, capturing the hundred year history of a band established in memorial of soldiers and sailors who fought in the First World War.

Recently she has been involved in community arts projects including co-facilitating and mentoring Life is a Song song writing programs for Wild at Heart Community Arts as well as for Continuous Voices community action research for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to inform the Survivor Memorial in Ballarat.

George is the musical director of Buninyong Community Choir and studied a Bachelor of Music (Improv) at the Victorian College of the Arts and under composer Mary Finsterer.
