Born in 1959. Living and working in Sydney, Australia, Anthony is a recent Honours graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he is currently undertaking postgraduate study. His music has received a number of prizes, including the John Antill prize in 1994. He has written for film, theatre, dance and the concert stage. His music receives frequent stage performance and radio braodcast. A number of his works are available on CD.

He wrote and performed music for a theatre production of The Bottom Line for a successful season at the Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney, in June 1994 and the following April at Theatreworks in St Kilda, Melbourne, as part of the 1995 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

His orchestral work Steel Point, drawing influence from the life of Stalin, was selected as a finalist in the 1995 Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra’s composers’ competition and it was given a world premiere in the U.S. by the Wittenberg University Orchestra in March 1996. He is currently writing a score for a short feature film Incubus, directed by Andrew Kotatko.

In late January of 1996, Anthony served as a guest editor for the production of an issue of Sounds Australian, the Journal of the Australian Music Centre, with the theme 'Music and Technology: Impact on Education, Composition and Performance'.

He has played violin since the age of 9 and now plays predominantly Celtic music, performing regularly with The Ragged Band. The band plays regularly at national folk festivals and has released a CD entitled Up the Sides and Down the Middle.
