Brent Davis : Associate Artist
One of my strongest beliefs about music and composition is that it's counterproductive to view melody, beauty and proportion as somehow undesireable.
Brent Davis was raised in a small country town in eastern Oregon, studying cello from age 10, and playing and singing in local community orchestras and choirs.
At Stanford University, he completed the studies for a BA in Music under teachers such as Leonard Ratner (theory) and Lou Harrison (composition), while also earning a BA in Linguistics. Later, he studied composition with Mark Pollard at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.
