Opportunity: Albert H Maggs Composition Award

Applications for the Albert H Maggs Composition Award close on Monday 13 August. This award is provided as a commission for the creation of a musical work of a substantial nature.

 
The value of the award offered in 2012 will be $7,000 for the commissioned work, and a $3,000 performance subsidy.

 Any Australian composer who has been a continuous resident in Australia for at least two years before the closing date for applications can apply, including previous award-winners.



Applicants must submit their application online and provide a hard copy score and a recording. For full details, please see the award website.
